The
Product Development, Merchandise Calendar and Internet Catalogue
are designed to assist the merchandise, design and development
team in preparing and launching the new product line.
Several
component modules, programs and databases make up these modules,
which are purchased as an integrated system. The user interface,
outputs and queries are browser-based, in full colour and graphic
mode – GUI. They are an integral part of the full CAMS 9I suite
of applications and database as well as CAMS Action Notices and
Smart-Mail (integrated e-mail).

This
is an overview of the launch schedule by merchandise group, listing
events (meetings and milestones) and status of the development
cycle. This will highlight the merchandise, design and development
teams’ ability to meet the schedule.
Task
Management
Tasks are assigned to
personnel in the
company human-resource database and
tracked. Product-development status
details are viewed through a drilldown
from the merchandise calendar. This
answers the question: who is responsible
for what?
