• Store and retrieve pictures, images, sketches, etc. These will be made available for output to production documents and queries and sales meetings and catalogues.

• A full bill of materials, trims and labels is based on a structured component list by product type (materials and components come from the database). Estimates and costs for each component may vary for each color and size by exception (applied only where needed).

• Fabric swatches and trim pictures for easy identification, look-up and substitution, etc. These may be printed or viewed on documents: cost sheets, cutting slips, material requisitions.

• List of operations by production phase (cutting, sewing, etc.), which will be used for labor costing and plant loading.

Track development costs by customer, cost-center, reason-code, fully integrated with financial CAMS financial package. Track cost such as freight, patter devolvement, etc and produce detailed reports by cost-center.

• tables for the definition of style specifications, measurements and technical information for sewing and quality control.

• Revision control to track changes and approvals. These may be specific to a customer (private label) and meet strict documentation standards.

• Full costing with what-if price calculation based on margin. Several costing formulae for discounts and add-ons may be defined by customer (private label) and product category. These will cover currency exchange, duties, freight and brokerage fees and other factors that affect the margin for imports and exports. Cost factors are user-defined and can be changed on the fly for what-if calculations. The price (in currency) and cost are stored for future reference in production variance, order processing and sales analysis throughout the CAMS 9I modules, where applicable

Sourcing functions / Task with import PO tracking

These stages are defined within the prototype calendar and designated as production type tasks. These dates are prototype/lot specific and appear on in-transit reports, P.O. Schedule.

Merchandise Calendar

The individual prototype’s schedule is merged into the overall group schedule and Merchandise Calendar where events are flagged and co-coordinated with other activities. Events such as meetings for the group review, fashion show, etc. are highlighted. Notes and dates are displayed under the monthly column where they are scheduled to occur.
