The
CAMS 9I Production Control Module is a comprehensive set of programs
and data structures with a an interactive browser-based user interface
that will help the production and sourcing team plan, control
and track apparel production, local manufacturing
or off-shore.
The
reports and documents referred to below are generated online and
output to the browser in full colour and GUI. In most cases, the
actual printing of the document may be by-passed altogether –
making this a paperless environment.
These
applications are integrated to the CAMS 9i Action Notices and
Smart-Mail.
This
module will provide the following functionality:
Generate
and print production orders, cutting slips, material and trim
requisitions, and bills of labour and operations. For CMT or subcontractors
these documents may be referenced to purchase orders, as appropriate.
Generate
and print related documents such as technical specifications,
sewing instructions and sketches and pictures that were entered
in the PDM.
Weekly production schedules by plant and function or phase. A
drill-down shows the scheduled production orders at a phase and
plant. Another drill-down query shows a summary of materials/trims
requirements for production scheduled at a plant. Schedules will
include pre-production work as defined in the PDM.
Plant load map
showing capacity versus load by plant/contractor and week in minutes
and units. Plant capacity and shift hours may be maintained in
an easy-to-use interface. The level of detail may be limited to
operation groups, bottleneck operations, specialty operations.
Exception reporting on late production, under-over capacity, unbalanced
plant loads or mismatched skills (where specialty work is assigned
to a plant without the skill). Action Notices will be sent automatically
through CAMS Smart-Mail to the designated tracking and supervisory
personnel, as exception conditions arise.
• The
plant or contractor may enter work-in-process movement and transfers
on the Internet (access is controlled and restricted). WIP valuation
reports by location. WIP movement may be at the style, colour
or size levels (depending on the plant’s ability to report.)
• Control
of production labour and raw material cost and consumption against
a lot or sub-lot. This module interfaces to the material and trim
inventory for consumption tracking by location. History of transfers,
adjustments, receipts.
